AML and KYC

Betting is not open yet. No deposits, withdrawals or bets are possible today. INR betting opens only after payment, identity (KYC), anti-money-laundering and location checks are connected and verified.

• ✓Aadhaar card, to confirm your identity and age. Collected only with your consent and kept masked, as Aadhaar rules require.
• ✓PAN card, to confirm your identity.
• ✓Bank account number, IFSC code and account holder's name, so withdrawals are paid only to your own account.
• ✓Phone number, to secure your account.

Identity and age are verified before your first deposit, and no bet can be placed until verification is complete. FairPlay may ask for more information later, and may decline or suspend an account where identity cannot be verified.

Verifying identity before any money moves is FairPlay's main safeguard against fraud and money laundering. Withdrawals are paid only to the verified account holder's own bank account, using the bank details checked during KYC.

Once betting opens, FairPlay deducts 30% tax (TDS) from net winnings under section 194BA of the Income-tax Act, 1961: when winnings are withdrawn, and on any balance at the end of the financial year. The tax is deposited against your PAN, which is one reason KYC needs your PAN card. Each withdrawal shows the amount, the tax deducted and what reaches your bank before you confirm it.

KYC checks run on FairPlay's own internal systems. Your documents are kept while your account exists and for up to 90 days after you delete your profile, unless the law requires longer. The privacy policy has the details, and questions go to the Grievance Officer at rajesh@fairsplays.in.
