About FairPlay
What is FairPlay?
FairPlay is a cricket platform for India. It publishes its own cricket betting rates, set by an in-house pricing engine, alongside live scores, fixtures, results, statistics and analysis built from verified match data.
Does FairPlay cover sports other than cricket?
No. FairPlay is cricket only: Tests, one-day and T20 internationals, franchise leagues and domestic competitions.
Which competitions are covered?
Every competition in FairPlay's verified match data. The cricket hub lists the competitions with matches right now.
Do I need an account to use FairPlay?
No. Scores, rates, statistics and analysis are open to everyone without logging in. You need an account to bet. You can register now; betting opens after verification.
FairPlay rates
Who sets FairPlay's rates?
FairPlay does. Rates come from FairPlay's own pricing engine, not from another bookmaker or an outside odds feed. The engine turns a team-strength estimate into prices and adds a published house margin. The rates page explains each step.
Which markets does FairPlay price?
Two pre-match markets: the toss winner and the match winner. Match winner rates are offered for T20 and one-day matches where both teams have enough rated results. Test and first-class matches are not priced yet, because they can be drawn and FairPlay has not yet built and tested a draw model.
When do markets close?
A match winner market closes at the scheduled start. A toss market closes 45 minutes before the scheduled start, or as soon as the toss is recorded if that happens first. There are no in-play rates yet.
Why is a rate suspended or expired?
A rate is suspended when FairPlay cannot stand behind it, for example because match data is delayed, the fixture details have changed or a price check has failed. Each published rate is valid for a limited time; if it is not refreshed in time it is shown as expired rather than left on screen.
What is the difference between decimal and Indian rates?
A decimal rate is the total return for each ₹1 staked, including the stake: 1.85 returns ₹1.85. The Indian rate shows only the profit per ₹100 staked: 1.85 becomes 85. You can switch between the two on any rates board.
Are FairPlay rates predictions?
No. A rate is a price that includes the house margin, so the chance it implies is slightly higher than FairPlay's own estimate. No rate guarantees any outcome.
Live scores and match data
Where does FairPlay's match data come from?
From the cricket data provider Sportmonks. FairPlay checks each record before showing it, and live pages show how fresh the data is. The data methodology page explains every check and update interval.
How often do live scores update?
While a match is in play, FairPlay checks the score every 5 seconds and sends changes straight to open pages. Line-ups and ball-by-ball detail refresh about every 30 seconds. See live scores or FairPlay Live.
Which time zone does FairPlay use?
Every date and time on FairPlay is India Standard Time (IST).
How far back do results and statistics go?
The last 12 months of verified matches. Older results will be added only once their data has been checked. Browse results.
Betting and accounts
Can I place a bet on FairPlay now?
Not yet. You can register and log in now, but INR bets are accepted only after payment, identity and location checks are connected and verified. Until then, Bet buttons ask you to log in, and once you are logged in they read “Betting opens after verification”.
Can I deposit or withdraw money?
No. Deposits and withdrawals are not possible today. When betting opens they will be in Indian rupees through a verified payment provider.
What do I need to open an account?
You must be 18 or over. To register you need your full name, an email address, an Indian mobile number, a password and a secret phrase. Before you can deposit or bet you will also be asked to verify your age, identity and location, and to choose your own limits.
I forgot my password. How do I get back in?
Use Reset password with your email address and the secret phrase you chose when you registered. After the reset, every other device is logged out. FairPlay will never ask for your secret phrase.
How will bets be settled?
From the official result, after it has been checked by FairPlay. The settlement section of the rates page explains the process, including what happens when a result is corrected.
Analysis and statistics
How does FairPlay estimate a team's chances?
With team ratings built from verified results in each format: winners gain points from losers, and upsets move more points. The gap between two ratings gives each side's chance. The analysis page sets out the full method.
How accurate is the model?
The analysis page publishes the model's tested accuracy and calibration on past matches, each estimated before its result was used, so you can judge it for yourself. The prediction methodology page breaks it down by format and compares it with simple alternatives. Estimates describe likelihood, never certainty.
Is the analysis written by people?
Not yet. Analysis and statistics are calculated from verified match data. Written analysis will carry its author's name and date.
Responsible use
Is FairPlay for under-18s?
No. FairPlay is for adults aged 18 and over only.
