Editorial policy

What FairPlay publishes, who writes it, the standards it must meet and how mistakes are put right. This page also sets FairPlay's content standards.

Two kinds of content

Match data pages: live scores, scorecards, results, statistics and model estimates. These are built automatically from verified match data, show when the data was last confirmed, and are never written or edited by hand. How the data works.

Written articles: news reports and guides. Each one carries the byline of the FairPlay Editorial Desk, names the FairPlay reviewer who checked it, and shows the date it was published and the date it was last updated.

How articles are written and reviewed

  • The FairPlay Editorial Desk drafts articles with AI assistance, working only from published sources and official scorecards. Every article says so at the end.
  • A named FairPlay reviewer reads every article before it is published, checks its facts against the sources and FairPlay's match data, and approves it in FairPlay's editorial system. The reviewer's name and the approval are recorded.
  • News reports wait in a review queue and are published only after a reviewer approves them. An article that depends on a FairPlay feature is held until that feature is live.
  • AI is never presented as a person, and no article carries an invented name, quote or credential.

Content standards

  • Every score, result and statistic in an article is checked against FairPlay's verified match data before it is published.
  • Sources are listed at the end of the article whenever information comes from somewhere other than FairPlay's own data.
  • No invented quotes, statistics, people or events.
  • Model estimates are labelled as estimates, never presented as certainties or tips.
  • No article promises a win or a profit, or suggests that betting is a way to make money.
  • Writers do not set rates. Every FairPlay rate comes from FairPlay's pricing engine.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, email support@fairsplays.in with the page link and what is wrong.

  • Match data is corrected automatically when the data feed corrects it, and every page showing that match updates.
  • Articles are corrected as soon as the error is confirmed, and a dated correction note at the end of the article says what changed.
